1. Introduction & Agreement to Terms
Welcome to JC Customs. By placing an order for our custom woodworking or signage services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all clients and visitors to our business, whether in Louisville, KY, Twentynine Palms, CA, or online. Please read them carefully to understand our shared responsibilities.
2. Services & Custom Work
JC Customs specializes in high-quality, made-to-order projects including custom woodworking, signage, awards, plaques, keepsakes, furniture, cabinets, vehicle signage, frames, and canvas prints. Every project is unique and crafted to your specific needs.
3. Quotes, Orders & Approvals
All projects begin with a quote. Once you accept a quote, we may provide digital proofs or mockups. It is the client's responsibility to check these for spelling, layout, and design accuracy. Written approval of a proof is required before we begin production.
4. Pricing, Deposits & Payments
Prices are based on current material costs and labor estimates. A non-refundable deposit is typically required to secure your spot in our production schedule and purchase materials. Final payment is due upon completion or pickup unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Changes, Cancellations & Refunds
Due to the customized nature of our work, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once production has started or materials have been cut. Changes made after approval may result in additional labor charges and material costs.
6. Turnaround Times, Shipping & Pickup
We strive to meet all estimated timelines, but these are not guaranteed as custom work often encounters unforeseen variables. Clients in Louisville or Twentynine Palms can arrange for local pickup. Shipping is available for most items and will be billed to the client.
7. Quality, Variations & Client Responsibilities
Wood is a natural material with variations in color, grain, and knots. These are not defects but part of the unique character of custom woodwork. It is your responsibility to provide correct artwork files and measurements; we are not liable for errors in provided data.
8. Intellectual Property & Project Photos
JC Customs retains the right to use photos of completed projects for marketing, social media, and portfolio use unless a non-disclosure is agreed upon beforehand. Clients retain rights to their own logos/branding provided to us for custom signage.
9. Warranties & Limitation of Liability
We warrant our craftsmanship for a limited period against structural defects. We are not liable for damage caused by improper care, environmental factors, or misuse. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific project in question.

By requesting a quote, placing an order, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms. Intellectual Property & Photo Usage
JC Customs retains all ownership rights to original designs and custom concepts created by us. We also reserve the right to photograph completed projects and use these images for promotional purposes, including our website and social media. If your project contains proprietary branding or requires complete privacy, please notify us in writing before production begins.

2. Services & Custom Work
We offer specialized services in custom woodworking, interior and exterior signage, custom awards, plaques, keepsakes, bespoke furniture, cabinetry, vehicle signage (wraps and decals), custom frames, and canvas prints. Each project is handled with precision craftsmanship from our facilities in Louisville, KY and Twentynine Palms, CA.
3. Quotes, Orders & Approvals
All projects begin with a formal quote valid for 30 days. For custom work, we provide digital proofs or physical samples when necessary. Client approval of these proofs is mandatory before production starts. Once a proof is approved, JC Customs is not responsible for errors existing in the original client-provided artwork or text.
4. Pricing, Deposits & Payments
A non-refundable deposit (typically 50%) is required to secure your place in our production schedule. Final payment is due strictly upon completion and prior to delivery or pickup. We accept major credit cards and bank transfers.
5. Changes, Cancellations & Refunds
Changes made after proof approval may incur additional design or material fees. As all our work is custom-made to your specific requirements, order cancellations are not permitted once production has begun, and no refunds will be issued for custom items.
6. Turnaround Times, Shipping & Pickup
Lead times are estimates only and begin once the deposit is received and proofs are approved. We offer local pickup at our Kentucky and California locations. For shipped items, we are not liable for delays or damages caused by third-party shipping carriers, though we will assist in claims when possible.
7. Quality, Variations & Client Responsibilities
Wood is a natural material; variations in grain, color, and texture are to be expected and are not considered defects. Clients are responsible for providing high-resolution artwork and accurate measurements for all signage and installation projects.
9. Warranties & Limitation of Liability
JC Customs warrants that all work will be performed in a professional manner. However, we are not liable for damages resulting from improper installation by the client, extreme weather exposure, or general wear and tear beyond our control.

Quotes & Approvals
Quotes are valid for 30 days. For all custom work, JC Customs provides digital proofs or design drafts. Custom orders will not proceed to final production until the client has provided written approval of the proof. Once approved, JC Customs is not responsible for errors (such as spelling or design flaws) that were present in the approved draft.
Quality & Variations
Wood is a natural material; variations in grain, color, and texture are expected and celebrated. Client is responsible for providing high-resolution artwork or correct technical specifications. JC Customs is not liable for project failures resulting from incorrect information provided by the client.

3. Quotes, Orders & Approvals
Quotes are valid for 30 days. For custom work, we provide digital proofs for your review. Once you approve a proof, we are not responsible for errors in text, color choice, or layout that were shown in the approved design.
4. Pricing, Deposits & Payments
- Deposits: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to start any custom project.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon project completion or before shipping/delivery.
- Methods: We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and digital payment platforms as specified on your invoice.
5. Changes, Cancellations & Refunds
Because our work is custom, we cannot offer refunds once production has begun. Cancellations made prior to production will result in the loss of your deposit. Changes to an order after approval may incur additional fees.
6. Turnaround Times, Shipping & Pickup
Turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees. We will notify you when your order is ready for local pickup in Louisville or when it has been shipped. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the client unless stated otherwise.

Wood is a natural material. Knots, grain patterns, and slight color variations are expected and add to the unique character of custom work. Clients are responsible for providing correct high-resolution artwork or spelling for all signage.
8. Intellectual Property & Photos
JC Customs retains the right to use photos of completed projects for marketing and portfolio purposes. If your project contains sensitive or trademarked information you prefer not to share, please let us know in writing.
9. Warranties & Liability
We warrant that our products are free from significant craftsmanship defects at the time of delivery. Our liability is limited to the cost of the project itself. We are not liable for damage caused by improper care or weather exposure after delivery.

Warranties & Limitation of Liability
JC Customs provides all services and custom products on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for perfection in every project, we do not make any specific warranties about the specialized nature of custom woodworking or signage for your specific environment beyond our standard quality commitment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JC Customs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products. Our total liability for any claim related to an order—whether in contract, warranty, or otherwise—is strictly limited to the total amount paid by the client for that specific project. We are not responsible for damage caused by improper installation (unless performed by us), extreme environmental conditions, or general wear and tear over time.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions and your use of our services are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to JC Customs shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction in Louisville, KY or Twentynine Palms, CA.
